The Tokyomods mechanical cam chain tensioner increases horsepower, extends cam chain and cam chain slider life, in addition to eliminating any possibility of the automatic tensioner failing, causing catastrophic engine failure. It can be installed in minutes with no special tools needed!
A Cam Chain requires a certain amount of tension to ensure that the cam chain does not jump a tooth on the cam chain sprocket. This tension is essential for maintaining correct valvetrain timing.
The Tokyomods Mechanical Cam Chain Tensioner provides constant cam chain tension, increasing horsepower through reduced drag on the cam chain, and is a more reliable unit compared to an automatic cam chain tensioner (stock) that relies on spring or oil pressure to operate. The Tokyomods mechanical Cam Chain Tensioner comes with full installation instructions.
