I know what you’re thinking… “What’s different compared to the old Alpha Jacket”? Akin has spent the past 2 years riding all over the world, taking notes of ‘all the small things’ that could be improved. More importantly, they listened to YOU. Your emails and reviews had some hidden clues on ways the design could be improved… and have been paying attention.

STAY PROTECTED

Akin have stuck with the classic Protective Maxtex® 600 D outer shell for superior abrasion resistance. For added protection, Alpha have designed the jacket to be 100% compatible with body armour inserts for the back, shoulders and elbows (sold separately).

STAY COMFORTABLE

Cold weather? The removable Thermoline® thermal liner has been improved, plus added built-in wrist gaiters to help block cold wind from entering your sleeves.

Warm weather? Zip out that thermal lining and open the new SmartVentTM System (with a total of 5 zipper vents) for maximum air circulation, keeping you cooler.

With a total of 5 large pockets, you’ll have plenty of room to stash all your valuables on your next ride. A magnetic keeper has been added to the removable hood (to stop it flapping around), there’s a hidden key clip in the front pocket for your key/fob, reflective logos for extra visibility, and premium YKK® zippers all round.

Built for the worst conditions – Fully seam sealed + the new Humax® membrane features a huge 14k Waterproof + 19k Breathability rating, resulting in the ultimate protection against rain, wind and snow. (14,348 mmH2O + 19,241 g/m2/24 h)

• Featuring multiple stretch panels, you’ll be unrestricted when getting on/off the bike, and you’ll have ultimate mobility when the trail gets ‘technical’.
• Riding in cold weather? Underneath the tough outer shell, you’ll find a removable Thermoline® thermal liner that will keep your legs nice and warm.
• Hot weather? Zip out that thermal lining and crack open the new SmartVentTM System to allow air to circulate, keeping you cooler.
• Velcro waistband tabs ensure a perfect snug fit, and with a total of 6 pockets (including a ‘hidden’ zipper pocket inside the leg vent), you’ll have plenty of room to stash all your valuables on your next ride.
