Three signs you need to replace your radiator coolant

Replacing your dirt bike coolant can often be overlooked, but it's quite an important aspect to appropriately maintaining your motocross or enduro bike. 

In this guide, we look at three key signs you need to replacing your dirt bike coolant.

Boiled coolant: One of the first signs you need to immediately replace your coolant is if it has boiled over - if your bike has overheated and subsequently boiled the coolant, then it's time to replace it. Overheating can be caused through many different ways, however poor coolant, or coolant that's already boiled, could be the issue. Replacing coolant is relatively cheap and easy to do, so it's better to be safe than sorry.

Exceeds service interval: Coolant is just like any other liquid that goes into your bike, and it needs to be replaced in the appropriate service intervals. It's always best to refer to your owners manual, however generally speaking, if you're a regular rider, then changing your coolant annually will be adequate, and if you're a serious racer, we recommended flushing the coolant out and replacing every six months.

Low coolant level: The third and final sign to replace your coolant is if it's at a low level. In some cases, it may just mean topping it up, but if it's reduced significantly, it's best to flush the cooling system out and replace it with fresh coolant.
