Pro Spotlight: Brett Metcalfe main image

Brett Metcalfe can be considered a veteran of the sport, and he's one of Australia favourite motocross and supercross riders.

In this Pro Spotlight, we dive into Metty's gear bag to detail his riding kit for 2020.

M2R X4.5 helmet:
Brett Metcalfe is an OG M2R rider, and has been wearing their helmets since the very early days of the brand - and his career - in the 2000s. Metty has had a number of replica lids in his time too, and you'll find him wearing the Australian brand's premium X4.5 helmet. The X4.5 helmet boasts strong protective qualities, including an X-Halo Shield and MIT+ Shell.

Fly Racing gear:
Fly has long been a supporter of the Penrite Honda Racing squad, and you'll see Metcalfe decked out in various different offerings and colourways from the company. Typically, he'll be wearing the Kinetic or Lite gear sets.

Pod K8 knee braces:
When it comes to knee braces, factory riders get to choose their brand of protection. Metty uses the premium K8 knee brace from Pod, who are leaders when in the market. The Pod K8 uses an exclusive Forged Carbon Composite construction, while the core of its knee injury prevention comes through the Human Motion Hinge and Synthetic Ligaments.

Scott Prospect goggles:
Metty is fitted with Scott Prospect goggles, which are without a doubt the most popular goggle amongst the best riders in the Australian motocross championship. The Prospect offers a unique Lens Lock system, articulated outriggers, three-layer moulded face foam and dual tear-off posts.

Gaerne SG-12 boots:
A new change in Metty's 2020 set-up is the switch to Gaerne boots, and he uses the premium SG-12 boot. The key protective feature of the SG-12 is the dual-stage pivot system - the system provides support in the event of an over-jump or hard landings, while allowing for easy movement on the controls.
