Changing the fork seals and dust seals on your dirt bike is not a fun job, it makes the same mess as changing an oil filter on a motocross bike, it is a bit more complicated than replacing the spark plug on your enduro bike and unlike a set of gold handlebars, it has no effect on the appearance of the bike. So extending the life of your fork seals can save you a lot of time, headaches and money that you can rather spend on a new set of handguards or a bigger sprocket. There are a few products that will help with fork seal protection.

Fork seal saver is a universal part and can fit any off-road bike including KTM, Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, BMW, Gas GasHusaberg, and Husqvarna. They are made from neoprene which is a synthetic rubber that maintains its flexibility over a wide temperature range which helps to maintain a good seal whilst under the pressures of riding. It only takes a couple of minutes to install and does not require you to remove your fork tubes because it straps over your fork seals and attaches with either a velcro strip, zip ties or are zip-on.

Fork supports can also help to prolong the life of your fork seals because it prevents you from over compressing the fork when pulling on the tie downs. The fork support is placed on the front wheel and connects to the front fender right beneath the triple clamp. It can also be used if you prefer to tighten the motorcycle using the footpegs but you are still worried about over-tightening.

Fork boots or fork gators are far from short seal saver and cover the entire exposed surface area of your fork. These are great for helping to protect fork seals but are only available for old school telescopic forks.

At MXstore we have a huge range of colours and styles in fork seal savers, fork supports and fork boots so you can spend less time on maintenance and Ride More!
