Jed is one of those people that everyone will tell you the same thing; he's one of the most likable young racers you'll ever meet. Growing up in Tasmania where the race scene was very limited, Jed and his family sacrificed a lot from an early age as he pursued a dream career of racing dirt bikes. His attitude never wavered though, and to see him now racing for the premier MX2 team on the world circuit is a deserving reward for someone as humble and down to earth as Jed.

"Growing up in Australia, it’s been a lifelong dream of mine to be able to race the Motocross World Championship. As a member of the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna MX2 team, I believe I am in the best possible position to fight for the ultimate goal of becoming world champion."

If Jed's extremely impressive form in the opening rounds of the 2020 MXGP championship is anything to go by, that goal of becoming world champion is certainly achievable for the young Aussie talent. We're super excited for racing to get back underway once the COVID-19 pandemic has passed, and we can't wait to cheer Jed on as he chases down his first MX2 World Title.

As a return to racing in the 2020 MXGP season draws near, Arno Van de Brink from Motocrossplanet caught up with Jed and the Nestaan team, as they make preparations for a return to the full time racing following the COVID-19 pandemic. Check out the video below!

MXstore's Athlete Manager Geoff Munro was thrilled at the opportunity to support Jed's program over in Europe. "Jed is an absolute legend. I was fortunate enough to meet him at the 2019 Motocross of Nations in Assen, and it's just like other people have told me - you can't help but like him! A few months and a bunch of Call of Duty sessions later and we were well on the way to getting this deal sorted. To be part of both Jed and Mitch's programs as they fly the Australian flag over in Europe is incredibly special for us here at MXstore and we couldn't be more excited for what's to come." Jed is now the second Australian rider racing over in Europe that we have jumped behind with our MXstore support program, joining Factory HRC star Mitch Evans.

Jed and the Nestaan MX team have one of the cleanest setups in the World Championship pits when it comes to their riding gear. Combining well with their title sponsor Rockstar Energy, the boys run an almost entirely Fox Racing setup, including Fox 360 Gear, Fox Instinct Boots, and Fox VUE Goggles. They combine this with a Bell Moto-9 Flex Helmet, one of the premier helmets in the class. Check it out below and hit the brand logo links to see what we've got available for you!

Riding for the Rockstar Husqvarna Factory Race team also means a pretty impressive setup when it comes to the bike. Of course, when you're racing dirt bikes at the highest level there is, you need to have the best equipment possible. We thought you'd take you through for a close up look at some of the more impressive pieces of equipment on Jed's Husqvarna FC250 machine:

  • Jed Beaton FMF 2020
  • Jed Beaton Supersprox Sprockets
  • Jed Beaton Rekluse Clutch
  • Jed Beaton Pro Taper Handlebars
  • Jed Beaton Moto Master Brake Discs
  • Jed Beaton Kite Holeshot Device
  • Jed Beaton Pirelli Tyres
  • Jed Beaton WP

Overall it's an extremely professional setup at the Nestaan team, as one would expect of a Factory race team over in Europe. We're thrilled to be able to play a small part in the team with our support of Jed, and we're looking forward to continuing our partnership well into the future as Jed chases down that World Championship goal. All photos are thanks to the Nestaan MX team and Shot By Bavo, one of the best in the business!
