The key to getting comfortable on your motocross or enduro bike is by setting up your dirt bike controls, which can play a big role in how you ride your bike.

In this guide, we take you through the three steps getting your handlebars and brake lever/clutch lever set-up for the ideal riding setting.

Step 1 - Set-up handlebars: The first step is to loosen off the handlebars at the bar clamp, and then set the bars in your ideal position. It's key to set your bars up prior to the brake and clutch levers, as they'll obviously change position as you move bars either forwards or backwards. Handlebar position is a personal preference - some riders like their bars rolled back, others like them rolled forward. If you're unsure of your preference, we recommend setting your bars up in a neutral position. Remember to secure and tighten your bar clamps before progressing.

Step 2 - Loosen off clutch/brake perches: The next step is to loosen your clutch and front brake perch. For this step, you'll want to sit on the bike and set your levers in position - again, this is a personal preference, but we recommend just positioning them where they feel the most comfortable.

Step 3 - Finalise controls set-up: Once you established a comfortable lever set-up, tighten the bolt and check that whole set-up - handlebars and levers - and ensure it feels natural and comfortable. Make any changes if needed, otherwise, it's time to go shred some motos!
