Description

RIDE ENGINEERING FRONT BRAKE LINE

Ride Engineering specializes in products that customize the motorcycle to optimize motorcycle performance while enhancing its appearance. The Ride Engineering brake will not bend as easily as the stock line that has crimps holding the black plastic stiffener. Ride Engineering use molded rubber boots to keep the stiffener in place. Made with adjustable banjo fittings so every installation is a perfect OEM fit.

The Ride Engineering brake line improves stopping power and reduces fade over the stock plastic line. Why? Because expansion is close to zero under all riding conditions. The Ride Engineering Brake Lines are made from extremely flexible dupont teflon steel.

FEATURES

  • Improved stopping power
  • Reduced fade
  • Made from dupont teflon steel
  • Adjustable banjo fittings

Please Note: Brake line clamp CR-BLC00-BA, CR-BLC00-MB or CR-BLC00-RA is required for Yamaha and Honda applications. Brake line clamp RX-BLC00-GN, RX-BLC00-BA or RX-BLC00-MB is required for Kawasaki and Suzuki applications. All braided steel lines are narrower than stock requiring a mount specifically designed for the smaller diameter. Image for reference only, product may vary slightly for fitment

Please Note: To ensure your personal safety and the warranty of these products, you must make sure the brake line is securely fastened on the fork protector of your bike. OEM brake line mounts are generally too large in diameter for most aftermarket braided brake lines, and as such must be replaced by aftermarket brake line clamps intended for thinner braided brake lines, or modify clamp and or brake line to ensure secure fastening. Even when aftermarket brake line clamps are fitted, it is still necessary to perform the following checks. Once everything is assembled and fastened, cycle through your fork travel several times paying close attention to the braided brake line position, in relation to all moving and non-moving parts - look for any movement between the braided line and protective sheathing also. After ensuring no movement under fork action, perform a static test of the product - tugging on the unsheathed section of the braided line with moderate force halfway between the brake line clamp and caliper, then again halfway between the brake line clamp and master cylinder banjo. If any movement at all is detected in any of these tests, it is a requirement to make modifications to the brake line clamping hardware, to ensure the brake line is completely secure. Re-run testing until brake line is secure. Failure to comply will void product warranty and could lead to injury or worse.
