BALLARDS BIKE RACK

The latest Ballards Bike Carrier is designed to fit Hayman Reese style receivers with 150kg tow ball capacity and at just 25kg is light enough for easy quick on and off mounting and carrying of your Dirt Bike (150kg load rating). It includes a secure dual footpeg shackle mounting system ( very secure and no need to buy tie downs ) Combined With the 'steady support' bar for added transporting and lockable theft security, Plus the kit includes a clip in ramp bracket, two wheel straps and free freight! (Spares are also available if required).

Steady Support

The multi-adjustable 'loop over' design significantly helps secure your bike to the rack for much more peace of mind while travelling or once locked it helps you sleep with peace of mind while you stay the night in a hotel room etc. We have tested the 'Steady Support' over many Km's and trips with just the wheel straps and support only and had great results. We're not suggesting you do this (no footpeg shackles) but only want you to understand it's true support and function 

The Ballards Bike Carrier is fully adjustable to suit your setup, with multiple mounting positions, adjustable turnbuckles & removable shackles! 

Mounting & Clearances

Designed to suit a 50mm "Hayman Reese Style" hitch receiver, plus dirt bikes with 21" front wheels. Please note that some customers have also successfully adapted fitment for smaller bikes and scooters etc.

From January 2019 a new shape (with more rounded corners on the hitch) has been supplied that fits ALL models of 50mm receivers! This rack should fit most vehicles with the exception of some tray back utes and 4WD's with a large spare tyre on the back. Hitch extensions (50mm x 50mm) in 200mm and 300mm long are easily available online if you feel your bike would be too close to the ute tray or spare tyre.

Please Note

Always check with towbar and vehicle manufacturer specifications for towing and tow ball weight limits. If you already have a 50mm style receiver then they usually are considered the heavy-duty class units (not the 40mm x 40mm ones!) and should be fine.

Also please note that the Ramp is not included.

The Ballards Bike Rack has been designed to allow you to easily and quickly load up your motorcycle on almost any vehicle. Unfortunately, the size of your bike can often restrict the view of your obviously important signals and lights to other road users around you. To combat this, and ensure your vehicle is adhering to its legal requirements when on public roads, make sure you add on a Ballards LED Lighting Kit. These kits have been specifically designed to mount on the Ballards Bike Rack / Carrier, however can be mounted on any trailer or bike rack.
