Ballards True View Anti Vibration Mirror Set
SKU:Description
BALLARDS TRUE VIEW ANTI-VIBRATION MIRRORS
The best thing about this "True View" anti-vibration mirror is its position on the handlebars and its short post (shorter the post = less vibration) with nylon ball design, plus slightly convex mirror shape.
They allow a great viewing arc under your arm versus the alternative of running mirrors up and above the bars, where they are more prone to damage for off road use!
This low vibration mirror is the best way to check if the Boys in Blue may be behind you so you can be on your best behaviour
FEATURES
- Low vibration convex mirror shape for more accurate and broader viewing
- Suited to either trail or adventure bikes thanks to two mounting options
- SOLD AS A PAIR
Instructions:
Fitting "Straight to bar" - generally most suited for Enduro / Trail / Offroad bikes
- Each bike is different so finding the right spot and clearance area that will allow the bracket to fit in and around other controls and switches etc, may take a little bit of "trial and error".
- The main thing here is that the mirror sits in the right spot, and that the controls around them still operate safely and correctly!
- Make sure also that when the fitting and all tightening is complete., that the bars can be moved from side to side and no clearance issues result or any control malfunction exists.
Fitting "End of mirror to bar ends" - generally most suited for Road / Adventure bikes
- With a sharp knife cut a hole in the end of both grips. This should be done neatly and to the correct diameter to suit the bar ends.
- For the throttle side, roll the grip back a little to expose the plastic throttle tube.
- Loosen the throttle assembly and slide it 15-20mm off the bar.
- With a hack saw carefully cut the last 1-3mm off the plastic throttle tube end.
- Before refitting and sliding back slightly further up the bar than before, carefully check for any burs etc and remove anything that can restrict the smooth operation of the throttle movement.
- With the correct expander chosen for a snug fit into the end handlebars., insert the selected bar end fully and tighten securely.
- Tighten the throttle assembly allowing a 2-3mm working clearance between the handgrip and the bar end plug.
Warning / Please note:
The throttle clearance is very important and the throttle must move freely and be self-closing. DO NOT OPERATE THE MOTORCYCLE IF THE THROTTLE IS STICKY OR WILL NOT SELF CLOSE!
