For 2023 the KTM revealed an all-new shape undertaking some major changes and updates. This is the main reason behind Prutti doing a build on this machine as there's nothing like a build on one of the latest and greatest 450's in the industry!

Freeride Weapon?

Freeride bikes are a different species that are personalised to a rider's taste. The bikes don't have team colours or rules to abide by, they are basically a blank canvas for the rider to make their bike look as epic and as unique as possible! Freeriding is a combination of motocross, FMX and trailriding all in one! Choosing to ride on unridden surfaces and jumping gaps that seem impossible all while performing whips, turn downs and tricks. Take all the rules and racing out and bring riders back to what it's all about... having fun and expressing what "Freeriding" on a dirt bike means to them.

Parts used and why?

Suspension:

Modified spring-converted forks specially coated from Pro-Moto Suspension and re-valved and resprung shock setup for freeride! Prutti was lucky enough to get his hands on a set of the new Talon Raptor triple clamps which feature 6mm of fork offset adjustment, empowering riders to fine-tune their handling for optimal results. On top of that these things look trick and really compliment the colour of the forks.

Controls:

Prutti upgraded the cockpit of the KTM with new ODI CFT handlebars that feature an adjustable crossbar to reduce or increase the stiffness felt through the handlebars! On top of that he fitted Graphite ODI V2 lock on grips paired with ARC levers to improve the feel of the clutch and brake.

Performance:

Throwing a Pro Circuit exhaust on this KTM along with a FunnelWeb air filter allowed this bike to breathe better giving Prutti that extra hit of power where he needs it. He also upgraded the standard pegs to Scar Racing Titanium footpegs to keep his boots glued to the pegs and some Ballard's braided brake lines paired with MotoMaster oversized front disc and MotoMaster rear disc for extra stopping power!

Wheels:

Freeriding involves some of the gnarliest jumps often landing on uneven surfaces, so having strong wheels is super important! Prutti decided on the Talon wheelset which comes with Talon's class leading hub and black rims. Paired with Ballard's rim locks and rim tape wrapped in Dunlop MX33 tyres. The gearing is something that is often overlooked however Prutti went up to a 52 tooth black Ballard's sprocket and a Gold X-ring DID chain to match!

Aesthetics:

Prutti did an incredible job choosing the unique brown powder coated colour for the frame with white plastics including a white thrill seekers seat cover. On top of that he threw on some P3 carbon clutch and brake reservoir covers to give the bike the factory look! To dress up the engine the inner clutch cover was cerakoted black and thanks to Ballard's the oil filter and oil filler were upgraded to give it some extra pop.

Prutti's Favourite Bike to date!

The KTM out of the box had nothing on Prutti's previous modded Honda CRF450R until he worked his magic on this rig! The KTM certainly did not disappoint with Prutti commenting that this was his favourite bike to date. Keep an eye out for Prutti as he competes in events around Australia and around the globe whether it be on dirt bikes or mountain bikes this guy is a very talented human!
