Jett Lawrence wins 250 Pro Motocross Championship

He's done it! The final day of the 2021 250 Pro Motocross Championship was a stressful one for Aussie sensation Jett Lawrence. Heading into the day with a 23 point lead over rival Justin Cooper, a disastrous first moto saw him on the ground twice while Cooper ran away with the moto, eventually coming home in 8th position. As moto 2 rolled around, the picture was clear - if Cooper was to win the moto, Jett would need a 7th or better to seal the championship.

What followed was heart in mouth stuff, as Jett found himself on the ground early in the moto while Cooper made his way to the lead. Back in 13th position, Jett needed to dig deep to push his way through the field. And in true Aussie spirit, dig deep he did! Finding his groove after a few laps, Jett looked smoother by the lap as he made his way through to finish in 3rd position, sealing the 250 Pro Motocross Championship.

Older brother Hunter Lawrence had a tough day at Hangtown, but did more than enough to seal up third place in the Pro Motocross Championship. Two Lawrence's on the podium at season's end? Happy with it!

From the whole team here at MXstore, congratulations Jett and Hunter - you have both made your country proud!
