Thumper Nats comeback, FANTASTIC.

I attended all the original thumper nats back in the day so it is great to see it making a come back. I hope there will be meetings down in Vic or at least in Albury/Wodonga where they wre originally held. Fantastic to watch bits of the event on youtube.

Thumper Nats were the best! A level playing field for the supercross/motocross stars and the enduro champs. I remember a really muddy round where the enduro pros excelled. It made me wonder if mx riders ride in the rain (I was new to the sport back then). To race Thumpers was so much fun. Full throttle, no jumps, logs or rocks. Just a couple of kms of grass track. My favourite!! I'm fit, but I haven't ridden more than a one-off transmoto in a couple of years. For the return of Thumper Nats, I will dust off my old 2011 WR250F and see you there!!!!

It was the best time in my MX career was when we raced the thumper nets. It was bigger than Ben her awesome atmosphere great racing fantastic people.

Hey, great to see the Thumpernats making a comeback. If all goes well in Taree, are we likely to see more events pop up around the country next year? I reckon the Albury/Wodonga region should be a deifnite contender for a round. Hope its a cracking weekend up there. BRRAAAAAPPPPPPPP

This was the best Fun Series ever. Did the whole series in 99 on my XR416. Just when all the new Generation 4 Strokes were coming in to the country, Game Changes they turned out to be.

Does the AG bike class have to AG models specifically or can you ride a standard TS185ER model in that class?

Hi I would like to ride the twin shock class and the xr's only over 300 class please on my XR 500. I rode a couple of thumper nats in 96 or 97 and now ride with Hunter VMX club.We are lucky to ride a few grass tracks at Bulahdelah,so bring it on.

Great work GB and crew Just what our sport needs bit of modern with old school roots . We raced the old series in twin shock and had a ball for 5 plus years Love to do it again with the same bike Plus another few classes as the 60 plus looks cool for us old fellas who still compete to the TTR class same as I rode in the 90s .. Xr200 class would be cool to as I have Carl Beltchers old 200 . Good luck

Where is the XR200 class?

XR200s are amazing bikes. There is so much interest overseas and here. It would be great to help build the interest and ownership. And for the old guys these are pretty forgiving.

Under 200cc class at the Thumper Nats

If possible , It would be great to see an Under 200cc class at the Thumper Nats for XR200s and DR 200s . Looks as though you have a fairly full race card already but worth asking . Cheers Kevin.

It would be nice to have a class for crf/ttr 230s these are very popular bike. I could also see given modern times a class for adventure bikes which would be very interesting things such powerful machines tearing up the grass.

Can you please tell me what requirements are needed to race? Do I need to have a MA race license, or is a one day license ok?

It would be great if there was a 200cc 4 stroke class like in the USA. They have a massive following but there are lo5s of people here with XR200 plus there are DR200 Suzukis as well.

Well done to GB and the team at MX Store.com.au for bringing back what was (possibly - second only to the iconic Mr MX series) the most popular and accessible form of grass roots motorcross racing, on a high profile level ever in Australia. I for one will be following the grasstrack revivall of "Thumper Nats" 2025 from my home over here in Sweden with a great amount of interest. // TC
