Ride More Weekend at Reds: That's a Wrap

Reds Ride Park threw open the gates and served up the best loamy ride park tracks going to close out a massive first year of operation. Hundreds of riders, the local mayor, industry partners, demo bikes, kids, games and giveaways. Two full days of riding, start to finish.

Tracks Built for Riding

Owners Jesse and Rani, their son Jett and the whole Reds crew built some of the best tracks you could imagine. MX1, MX2, the grass track, the enduro loops and the kids' tracks were all dialled and ready to go come Saturday morning, after campers packed out the paddock on Friday night.

Free Coaching With Jemma Wilson

Bikes were firing from the get go. Jemma Wilson kicked off her free coaching clinics at 9am and kept them rolling right through the afternoon, working with riders from 2 years old to 50, cutting laps from the green lawn out to the tracks each day.

Demo Bikes All Weekend

Our mates from Mid Coast Moto and Grid had the Stark range on site and ready to demo. Over 70 riders jumped aboard the electric bikes on Saturday and even more on Sunday. The RFN team also had kids' bikes cutting laps all day, both days.

Saturday Arvo Games

The afternoon kicked off with the Mini Racer Pit Bike Challenge presented by OzMinis and it was an absolute hoot. The adults went first in a relay, mates teaming up and pushing their 110s to the limit. Josh Slockee and Robbie Byrnes won it by lengths, while second and third battled to the last metre for the novelty cheques and MiniRacer vouchers.

Then the kids jumped on the 110s. Le Mans start, four laps of the kids' grass track, swapping positions lap for lap. Big laughs from the crowd, bigger smiles from the riders, and Tyler Briggenshaw and Jaisiah Smith took home the winners' cheques.

Next up was the Leatt Launch on the front lawn of the Reds shed. The perfect amphitheatre to round out an epic day. A huge lineup of juniors kicked it off, then the open men lined up RFNs and Starks against KTMs and Yamahas in a drag strip shootout. The girls had an equal crack in a best of three battle.

And the Pirelli Slow Race was a big win as always. Slowest rider wins, and it's harder than it looks.

The Event Village

The village was buzzing all weekend. Untold Riders were slinging their merch, the RFN demo inflatable track was flat out, and the friendly canteen crew served up food all day while families soaked up the vibe.

New this year, the Grafton 103.1 Loving Life radio caravan went live from the track, chatting with the owners, the event manager and the Grafton Mayor about the positive impact the venue is having on the regional community and young riders.

Giveaways and the Mega Raffle

There were tons of 100% goggles and Pro Taper giveaways across the weekend, wrapped up with the Pro Taper handlebar push up comp, won by one of the youngest riders on site.

The grand prize mega raffle was a crowd favourite, with everyone rocking up for a shot at the RFN SX500 e-moto. It went to a grandad looking after the grandkids for the weekend. Legend. Plenty more went out the door too, with 100% goggles, Pro Taper grips and bars, Ballards tool bags and DirtLab product raffled off to some very happy winners.

Sunday Session

The sun came up over the hills on Sunday to even better tracks. Overnight watering and prep had them absolutely perfect for the morning, and riders got another round of epic loam to tear up.

The Enduro loop was a huge hit, mixing open flowing grass track with some technical single trail for a thrilling ride. Jemma kept the coaching clinics rolling and the good vibes carried into the afternoon, before everyone packed up and headed home for the NRL Grand Final.
