Good Vibes at Ride More Weekend Rocky

MXstore's Ride More Weekend Rockhampton hosted by our mates at Keppel Coast Dirt Bike Club and presented by Tropical Ford was one of the most successful recreational riding events held in Central Queensland in 2026.

What set this event apart was its incredible atmosphere. More than just a trail ride, Ride More Weekend created a true village festival feeling where riders of all ages and skill levels could come together in a safe, welcoming, and professionally organised environment. The event delivered exactly what the sport is all about: dirt smiles, connection, adventure, and lifelong memories.

"Ride More Weekend showcased how large-scale recreational riding can be delivered professionally while remaining inclusive, family-oriented, community-driven, and deeply connected to the culture of dirt bike riding. This event was not simply a trail ride, it was a standout celebration of the riding community and a benchmark for future recreational motorcycle events in Queensland."

Saturday morning's rider briefing concluded with an aeroplane drop of a huge bag of lollies for the kids, followed by five tracks open and filled with riders keen to get laps in on their pride and joy, plus demo bikes from RFN, Stark Future and Rocky Powersports.

The riding itself was awesome, featuring over 15km of fresh enduro terrain including rocky climbs, sandy stretches, open flowing sections, technical forest trails, novice grass track loops, kids tracks, peewee circuits and the new Thundercross natural terrain track which proved a hit with more advanced riders.

A major highlight was the strong focus on rider development and inclusion through free coaching sessions delivered by Dialed MX Coaching's Aaron Hutton and Cody Hall. Coaching was available for juniors and seniors alike, helping riders improve confidence, bike control, cornering, braking, throttle technique, and overall safety in a supportive environment on top of the hill.

Off the bike, the event featured novelty games, sponsor activations, giveaways, raffles, a bonfire, hillside camping, and a strong family-friendly atmosphere. Young fella Billy was chosen to select a raffle ticket and he picked his mum's number out. The crowd roared and celebrations erupted as he was chaired into the air on his brand new RFN Warrior SX-E500 electric dirt bike!

The event also showcased outstanding local community involvement with catering delivered by the Caves School P&C. The volunteers did a fantastic job feeding riders, families, and supporters throughout the event.

The Motorex Barrel Challenge was a sight to see as hundreds of spectators crowded the hill watching Rockhampton's finest go head to head in an extremely technical knockout battle. Aaron Hutton riding a Stark blew past the finish line into a fence, only to win the next race against Brody Crane on a Yamaha.

People's champ Cody Hall took out the Pod Rut Limbo in front of a big crowd. Tyler Boto won the Stark Reverse Challenge. And it was Johnny Lane and Ashlee Shaw who took out the Miniracer Pit Bike Challenge. Novelty cheque and glory!

The success of the weekend was made possible through the collaboration between MXstore, Tropical Ford, Keppel Coast Dirt Bike Club, local businesses, volunteers, landowners, and community supporters. Countless hours of preparation went into building and preparing the tracks and facilities.

Huge thanks to all our event supporters: Tropical Ford, Rockhampton Blast and Paint, The Caves Quarry, Tait Mechanical, Doonside Cattle, Motorex, Dialed MX Coaching, Maxxis, Yoshimura, Pod Active, Geddit Haulage and Excavation, RFN E-Moto, Ballards Offroad, Dirtlab, Rival Ink, Leatt, FMC, Ray White Yeppoon, Traverse, CQ Caravan Rentals, Ride Events Co, Rocky Powersport, Stark Future, MQLD, The Caves P&C and Keppel Coast Dirt Bike Club.

This event was not simply a trail ride. It was a celebration of the riding community in Queensland and we can't wait to come back in the future!
