Track Spotlight: MX Farm

MX Farm Queensland is one of the newest motorbike ride parks in Australia, and it's become an instant hit amongst dirt bike riders in the Sunshine State. MXstore is a proud partner of the MX Farm facility, and we're stoked to be able to support the amazing team that looks after one of the best parks in the country.

Opening hours: Friday-Sunday 8:30am-3:00pm

What tracks do they have? 

MX Farm offers five tracks, so there's something that caters to the whole family and riders of all abilities and riding levels. 

The five tracks include:

• Beginner peewee track
• Pump & jump track for kids
• Natural terrain track for all levels
• Stadium track
• Pro track

The Pro track is the main circuit that most motocross and dirt bike riders head to the MX Farm for. It's a super fun layout with a variety of different sizes jumps and obstacles, as well a huge selection of varying corners, including off-cambers, tight 180-degree and fast, sweeping turns. This track is for riders with experience on a motocross track and that are confident in their ability.

The four other tracks are suited more towards beginner riders, especially juniors and newcomers. These circuits have simple layouts and obstacles, and they come without the intimidation of riding with faster riders.

Are the tracks prepped and watered?

Yes, all the tracks are prepared and watered for each day of riding. MX Farm always puts on the best riding conditions possible, and with enough moisture and grading, the tracks never get too gnarly, no matter what day of the weekend you decide to head there. Plus, the dirt is absolutely epic!

What events do they host? 

The Gympie MX track hosts a number of events throughout the year, including championship level events in Australia such as the MX Nationals. It's also a host of the Sunshine State Motocross Championship. The venue also holds a number of coaching clinics each season. MXstore has also been fortunate enough to host several events in conjunction with the MX Farm team, including our LIVIN x Fist Mental Health Awareness weekend, as well as our Breast Cancer Awareness Ride Weekend. Are there any other facilities?

Absolutely! One of the cool things about MX Farm Queensland is they actually have camping facilities. It means you can make a weekend of it, camp at the track and enjoy the night with your mates. There are toilets and hot showers on-site, and you will need to make a reservation in advance if you do plan to camp. The track, located at Gympie, also offers a complete canteen, which is open during riding hours.

What are the requirements to ride at MX Farm Queensland?

Any motocross rider can ride at MX Farm Queensland - you do not need a Motorcycling Australia licence to ride on regular weekends. The usual protective equipment and gear is required for all riders.
