LIVIN Fist MXstore Mental Health Awareness

When Jay Wilson brought us the opportunity to partner with Fist Handwear and LIVIN on his signature glove project, we jumped on it straight away. Not only are we big believers in Jay and Fist, we're also very passionate about the work that organisations like LIVIN do in the mental health space, raising awareness and educating people in an attempt to break the stigma that surrounds mental health. We are so proud to say that together with Fist and Jay, this campaign has raised close to $10,000 towards the LIVINwell Mental Health Awareness workshops for schools all around Australia!

It was a humbling experience to sit down with some of the top athletes in the world from the action sports arena and talk about the challenges they face as elite athletes. Though everyone has their own story to tell, there was certainly a common message throughout. We all face challenges in life, hurdles to overcome, mental and physical battles that have the potential to break us down. But through these tough times, we are never as alone as we might feel, help is never too far away, and the importance of speaking up when we find ourselves struggling cannot be overstated, because #ItAintWeakToSpeak!

LIVIN was founded on the Gold Coast, Australia in honour of a great man Dwayne Lally. Like too many others, Dwayne took his life after suffering in silence with a mental illness. LIVIN is all about inspiring people to live their life at the top and breaking the stigma that surrounds mental health. Connecting, supporting, and encouraging one another to talk about their feelings and challenges. Through the development of cutting edge education programs, apparel and community awareness initiatives, LIVIN are launching a generational change, and we're so proud to play a small part in that mission and support a great cause.

LIVIN's #ItAintWeakToSpeak campaign drives a powerful message in today's society, encouraging people to be open, engage in conversation and be willing to be vulnerable. Breaking the stigma that speaking up about your mental struggles can be seen as 'weak' is #1 on LIVIN's mission list, and it's a mission that we truly embody here at MXstore.

Surround yourself with good people, and know that no matter what challenges or struggles you're facing, it's never weak to speak up and seek help or support to overcome them.
