The Lightweight Motorcycle Club is amongst the most popular dirt bike tracks in Western Australia, and it caters for riders of all ages and abilities.

Location: 1329 South Western Hwy, Whitby WA 6123

Opening hours: 7 days (for club members with key and PS1 accreditation)

What tracks do they have? Byford is one of the only motocross venues in Western Australia to have multiple circuits, which include:
- Motocross track
- Arenacross track
- PeeWee track

The Motocross track has undergone a number of changes in recent years, and it's become a mainstay in the WAMX State Championship. The track has a range of obstacles that include large and small jumps, along with varying types of corners.

The Arenacross track is the only of its kind in the metro area, and it's a favourite amongst riders in the summertime. This track is only open for events and official practice nights, and it's fully equipped with lighting for epic riding under lights.

Are the tracks prepped and watered? The tracks are fully prepped watered for events, however mid-week practice the tracks won't be touched up.

Are there any other facilities? Absolutely! The Lightweight Motorcycle Club has two canteens (one for the MX track, one for the AX track), first aid facilities, three ablution blocks, concrete wash area, covered pit sheds, and an open pit area.

What events do they host? The Byford-based motocross club hosts a number of large events, including a junior and senior state round, a Motocross open, and the Arenacross open. Alongside that, they host a series of club races and ride park days.

What are the requirements to ride? The club is open to junior and senior riders aged from four years who have a Motorcycling Australia national competition licence. You will need a club membership to practice at the venue, and PS1 accreditation for key access. Open and state events do not require a club membership to race.
