AMA 2014 Outdoors Round 4 – High Point National,Pennsylvania.

For the first time this season in the outdoors the top step of the podium was claimed by someone other than a Red Bull KTM rider with James “Bubba” Stewart clean sweeping both moto’s with Roczen, Canard and Dungey fighting all day for the other spots on the podium.

Bubba was all smiles and we wonder with his seemingly more consistent riding style of late if he can begin to put the pressure on the KTM’s currently in one and two?

Aussie Chad Reed Hole shotted Both moto’s going 5 – 10 and 8th overall on the day so it is good to see Reedy mixing it at the pointy end of the field making us think its only a matter of time until we see him back on the podium.

In the 250 class it was Frenchman Christophe Pourcel taking out the hole shot award but a dominating ride by Kawasaki’s Blake Baggett saw a green bike clean sweep the lites class.

Never far off the pace Jeremy Martin had a somewhat mixed result on the day but secured second position taking a good handful of points to add to his championship hunt while team mate Cooper Webb also didn’t have the best day ending up in 6th position overall.

The Supercross champion Jason Anderson’s season has come back to life after a slow start aboard the KTM considering the speed and consistency he showed in supercross earlier in the year. Anderson seeminly finding his legs again with a second in moto 2 and a 3rd for the day claiming his first outdoor podium for the outdoor season.

Honda’s Justin Bogle looked fast at times but possible fitness or small mistakes saw him fade to two 4th place finishes and fourth overall, If Bogle can put it all together for a whole moto he could walk away with a couple of race wins before the end of the season.

New Zealands Levi Sherwood has been flawless so far winning the first two rounds with Frenchman Remi Bizouard and Aussie Josh Sheehan tied for second place.

The French innovator and 2013 tour champion Tom Pages is currently sitting in seventh place after crashing out of the quater finals in Mexico City and then opting to not ride the competition at Osaka Japan due to gale force winds battering the course on competition day.
