Round 6 - Petco Park - San Diego, CA

450 Main Event:

Team Honda is starting to flex its muscles for the first season in a long time in the premier class with both Trey Canard and Eli Tomac running well inside the top 5.

Canard would get out to an early lead and stay there despite the efforts of a hard charging Roczen on his Suzuki. Kenny admitted after the race he made a few small mistakes whilst trying to chase down the lead which prevented him from catching Canard and fighting for the race win.

Dungey settled into 3rd place to take a decent chunk of points for the series and Chad Reed made a solid 4th place finish, hopefully Reedy can build some momentum from here heading into the eastern rounds as his series had ended by this point last year due to injury!

250 Main Event:

Series Leader Cooper Webb took a nasty spill in practice at San Diego which left him with a tweaked shoulder and a decent headache after hitting his head pretty hard. Many were speculating if Webb would attempt to race the night but after working his way through the heat races Webb would make it to the main event.

Another solid start for Webb would send him to the front runners off the start, with only Tyler “Bowser” Bowers in the way of his 4th race win. Although Webb was riding in pain his speed was still there and eventually he would make a clean pass on Bowers who later complained of being sick and lacking the energy to be able to complete the main event at full pace.

Webb has a comfortable lead of 30 points now as the series heads east and the west coast riders have a few weeks off and get to prepare for the final rounds of the championship which ends in Vegas.
