Reducing weight on a dirt bike isn't always a straightforward process, and these days, most bikes come in at a reasonable weight from the factory.

There are some parts that you can buy to quickly make your bike lighter, and we've listed four that will give you immediate results.

Exhaust system: One of the best ways to reduce weight is by replacing your OEM exhaust system with an aftermarket one. Standard exhaust systems are generally quite heavy in comparison to what you can buy off the shelf, and if you want the most in weight savings, we recommend getting a full titanium offering. An aftermarket exhaust system will also provide a performance advantage, so you'll not only have a lighter bike, but also a more powerful one.

Aftermarket battery: Almost all modern four-stroke dirt bikes come equipped with an electric starter, which also means they come fitted with a battery. Batteries on most dirt bikes are heavy, although a performance battery can reduce some weight. This is another quick way to drop some weight, and it's relatively affordable.

Aftermarket wheels: An aftermarket wheel set is a great way to shave some weight from your motocross or enduro bike. There's actually a good amount of weight to save from a wheel set, as they're made from lighter yet stronger materials. The plus is that they look super cool and will handle the heaviest of landings!

Titanium foot pegs: There are some weight savings to be made in foot pegs, as the standard units can be on the heavier side. A titanium foot peg is the lightest and strongest option available, and they'll provide you a significant boost in grip. Foot pegs are also quite affordable, such as the Ballards Titanium foot peg.
