To velcro or not to velcro ?

You will notice some gloves have a velcro closure and some don't. This is usually down to personal choice, some people believe that a tight velcro strap can contribute to arm pump. If you are buying gloves for yourself you should have a fair idea which you prefer. If you are buying them for a 3rd party, then don't overthink this. Most riders couldn't care less.

Glove Sizing

• If you are unsure of sizing, always go smaller. Gloves stretch quite a bit, as soon as you sweat in them and they get wet they will become looser. The tighest fit comfortable is ideal.
• A loose fitting glove will bunch in the palm and greatly increase your blister count. Ouch!

Glove Colour

The current trend seems to be mis-matching your glove colour to your gear. Blue gloves with red gear etc.

Did you know some high end motocross pants have glove cleaners sewn on. Thor stitch theirs on the upper thigh and to the untrained eye it simply looks like a textured logo but it is in fact designed the scrape the mud off your gloves. Next time you take a dirt sample and find your gloves slipping on the bars give them a good firm drag across your newly discovered glove cleaners and you might be surprised.
