THE GREATEST BBQ OF ALL TIME - FRIDAY 4TH DECEMBER 2015:

The Aussie BBQ is a humble gathering where you invite friends around to your house for a couple of drinks in the backyard, flame grill some meat and usually swap a bunch of stories about your glory days riding dirt bikes. Sounds pretty great? Well what if you had not 1 but 3 of the best MX riders in history at your BBQ? Add to this a refreshment truck from Monster energy pumping out some beats, a surprise birthday celebration cake and you have yourself The Greatest BBQ of All Time!

Ricky ‘The GOAT’ Carmichael was accompanied by Jeff Emig and Jeff Stanton to attend and coach at the Ricky Carmichael University riding schools held in December 2015 at Appin in NSW and Coolum in QLD. But somewhere along the way RC stood up to 'The GOAT' reputation by making an appearance at The Australian Super X, RC lined up at the gate and raced the 1 off event to keep the Aussie fans happy. Not only mixing it up racing for the 2 days, but remaining an attentive and enthusiastic presence for the entire weekend, much to the delight of the Aussie fans!

Solid turn out by fans for the meet and greet

After the Super X it was straight to Appin for the first round of RCU which proved to be a huge success. From there they trekked North for the Coolum round of RCU, but on the way they pulled a detour and decided to stop in at MXstore’s Gold Coast Showroom and the Greatest BBQ of All Time became a reality.

Autograph Session

The Greatest BBQ of All Time was a huge success with everyone in attendance getting photo’s, autographs and most importantly a BBQ lunch before the trio were rushed off to the Sunshine Coast to inspect the track for the following days riding University.

COOLUM RCU DAY - SATURDAY 15TH DECEMBER 2015:

Coolum turned on a stunning day, the sun shining and the track groomed to perfection a solid turnout of students arrived early, eager to learn from the best in the business.

Following a quick warm up moto, the track was broken down into sections with smaller groups of students having set times with the different coaches. Riders had the chance to learn from their hero’s and work on some of the more technical aspects of the challenging deep sand circuit of Coolum.

To finish the day off all riders had one last chance to moto with RC, Emig & Stanton before the graduation ceremony took place. Graduates were awarded certificates and prize packs from event sponsors not to mention a wealth of new found knowledge in the sport of motocross.

RCU Class of 2015

RCU was a complete success and a milestone for the sport of MX in Australia and the hard work by Chris & Shane from Motodevelopment has paved the way for more great events like this to follow.

MXstore would like to thank Ricky, Jeff Emig, Jeff Stanton, JH, Monza Imports, FOX, Urky & Boothy for all of their hard work and time to make this all happen. Looking forward to more great events and BBQ’s in the future!
